One of my greatest joys since joining our Cyclelogical team are the opportunities we get to create. I can not articulate how REFRESHING it is to be in an atmosphere that encourages being “unique, different, sarcastic, giddy and just plain silly” when it comes to hatching ideas for our apparel designs. Inspiration can come from conversations with others over coffee early in the morning or adult beverages late at night, doodles sketched on napkins, conversations with customers/new friends at events or my favourite ideas from things we experience and see while riding out in nature or around town. **See photos of some Tshirts that were “birthed” during rides in our national parks!!!
Collaborations are even MORE FUN…not only among our team at Cyclelogical headquarters but also with friends that are “all about what we do and join the process” of creating designs. Two such people that are a delight to bounce ideas off of are Syd Schulz and Macky Franklin, who agreed to be our first “brand ambassadors” during our 10th Anniversary celebrating Cyclelogical’s existence.

One such interchange happened on one of my “worst days” of traveling. I had been in Tucson preparing to go to Epic Rides’ 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo. Unfortunately after filling up our Mercedes Benz SprinterVan (aka my “home away from home”;) with diesel that had been tainted with gasoline (how could I have known?!) causing the fuel system to fail I was stuck at the Tucson Mercedes dealership waiting anxiously to find out whether it could be repaired in time for 24Hrs and HOW MUCH would it cost as cold rain fell;(
In the midst of that dreary day…Syd and Macky just happened to be in town and came to visit me at the dealership (what a breathe of fresh air). While we sat their talking using the dealership business center as our own “mobile office” taking advantage of the amenities they offer;) we talked about plans for future rides, vlogs&blogs and looking through some new designs as well. We had just turned our Taco Bike into a comfortable hoodie that given the cold, wet day Syd through on to keep warm. The funny thing is not more than a minute I would say of putting on the Taco Bike she mentioned, “ughhh…so when are you coming out with a “Team Burrito” Tshirt…we eat those more often!!” LOL
