Cycling NYC 2011: A Tribute

We were at the New Am bike show this past summer and were so inspired by the cities range of cyclists. From families to businesswomen and everything in between.  Streetfilms.org put this video up on December 20th to celebrate NYC Cycling in 2011 . I just wanted to share in the celebration. ~AT

Blue Ridge Parkway banned to cyclists?

I have heard rumors of this happening this week and finally read an article from Bicycle Retailer this morning.  Blue Ridge plan alarms cyclists.

I grew up with the Blue Ridge Parkway in my back yard and enjoyed it so much. We would go hiking, camping and take long drives to enjoy the view. I have wanted to return with my road bike to experience it as a cyclist. I really hope this banned does not happen.

If you are looking for cool gift for a cyclist this holiday or even want something for yourself, you should check out our  artist friend Peter Horjus. He has a cool shop on Etsy called Houndsome with some really great fine art prints. Take a look around his shop. These prints he is selling for $19.00 which is a killer deal.

Bike Love

We were at a dinner party this weekend and heard a funny little story about how our friend wrote home to his parents to tell them he had met a girl.

“Dear Mom and Dad,

I met a girl, she has a nice bike!”

33 years later and they are still together and both advid cyclists.
